- Local Storage (SAF): We access local device storage and user-designated folders via the Android Storage Access Framework (SAF) strictly to create, read, and manage your backup archives (photos, videos, audio, documents) locally.
- Advertising & Analytics: We integrate third-party services such as Google AdMob to display ads and OneSignal for push notifications. These services may collect device identifiers (Advertising ID) and network status to function properly.
2. Android Permissions Used
To deliver core backup functionality and seamless ad experiences, the application requests the following permissions:
• android.permission.INTERNET (Required for loading ads and checking network connectivity)
• android.permission.ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE (Used to verify network status for ad requests)
• android.permission.POST_NOTIFICATIONS (Optional notification permission for Android 13+ background backup tasks)
• android.permission.READ_EXTERNAL_STORAGE / MANAGE (Used to access and archive media and documents)
3. How We Use Information
Information processed by the app is used exclusively for:
- Executing local backup and restore operations securely on your device.
- Enabling optional AES-256 archive encryption with user-defined passwords.
- Displaying banner, interstitial, and native advertisements via Google AdMob.
- Delivering helpful system updates and reminders via OneSignal.
4. Data Security
All backup archives generated by Easy Backup & Restore remain stored locally on your device or your selected storage location. When encryption is enabled, archives are locked with robust AES-256 encryption. We do not store your encryption passwords, nor do we upload your personal files to any proprietary cloud servers.
