Welcome to Memory Board ("we", "our", or "us"). We are committed to protecting your privacy and ensuring you have a secure, delightful experience when using our mobile application (the "App"). This Privacy Policy outlines our practices regarding information collection, usage, permissions, and third-party services.

1. Information Collection & Local Storage

Memory Board is engineered with an offline-first architecture:

• Local Room Database: All your memories, scrapbook boards, custom notes, photo references, and reminders are stored locally on your device's private storage. We do not upload, sync, or store your personal journal entries on external cloud servers.
• Local Backups: When you generate a ZIP archive backup, it is created locally on your device for you to securely export or transfer.

2. Third-Party Services & Advertising

To support the continued development and maintenance of this free app, we integrate reliable third-party SDKs that may process non-personal usage data:

• Google AdMob: We use Google AdMob to display banner and interstitial ads. AdMob utilizes advertising identifiers and cookies to serve contextual or personalized advertisements in accordance with Google's privacy policies.
• OneSignal: We use OneSignal to deliver push notifications for memory revisit reminders. OneSignal collects push tokens and basic anonymized device metadata strictly required for push message delivery.

3. Permissions Used by the App

To provide core features and seamless functionality, the App requests specific device permissions. We adhere strictly to the principle of least privilege:

INTERNET ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE	Required for loading banner and interstitial advertisements (AdMob) and checking system maintenance status.
READ_EXTERNAL_STORAGE (maxSdk 32) READ_MEDIA_IMAGES	Required to select and attach photos from your device library to scrapbook boards and memories, and to export boards as PNG/PDF.
POST_NOTIFICATIONS	Required on Android 13+ to display scheduled reminders so you can revisit your favorite memories.
SCHEDULE_EXACT_ALARM WAKE_LOCK	Required to schedule precise alarms for memory revisit notifications and ensure reminders trigger accurately.

4. Children's Privacy

Our App does not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under the age of 13. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal data, please reach out to us so we can promptly address it.

5. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect feature enhancements or regulatory changes. You are encouraged to review this page periodically. Changes become effective immediately upon posting.
